I really like the instruction on LAYERING the colors. That was most helpful.

Well, you have my curiosity so I’ve taken the course. I’m already confident working en plain air but there is always something to be learned. It will be fun to see how you’ve set up your course and always informative watching another artist work. So here goes….

Gail, I just finished my marathon viewing of your course! THANK YOU so much for this course, your generous discount, and your even more generous sharing of how you work. It was very helpful to see how much life your color choices gave the finished piece, as I tend to pick what I think should be the “perfect” color for everything from the start, and then wonder why I end up with flat, lifeless results!
Also, thank you for the pep talks at the end…much needed for this budding artist!

Well I started viewing the course videos Friday and somehow right now it is Tuesday 2am when I finished my first viewing of your video. There is a lot of valuable information here, everything I need to think about when I paint–Like driving a car on the first lesson with a standard shift–toooo much for my brain to remember all at once. I found the video showing how light a touch you use so you get many layers is something no book can show. This I have not seen in other videos I have viewed either. I look forward to your next course with the painters guild. I will need to view this course many times along with my practice. Thank you for giving our guild members the opportunity to download it at a discount. Many thanks in giving us all these gems of knowledge.

That’s wonderful to hear Mary! I appreciate the feedback.
It was my pleasure to teach again at the Salt Spring Island Painter’s Guild and I was happy to offer a discount. Look forward to teaching another workshop there!

Gail, I really enjoyed your plein air painting course. I especially enjoyed your demonstration of changes you made in the studio and why you made each change. That was very helpful! Thank you for putting together this course.
